A petrol station on the outskirts of Seaton has been sold to new owners after 40 years.
Tower Filling Station has been bought by Plaistow Broadway Filling Stations (PBFS). The petrol station was put on the market for £2,250,000 by Robert Cooney and WT Estates.
The forecourt has been owned by the same family for over 40 years who are now retiring from the sector. The business features Esso branded fuel and its non branded shop.
The freehold forecourt benefits from an excellent trading position on the outskirts of Seaton and acts as the hub for convenience shopping for local residents.
The iconic dinosaur figurines on the site you can see from the road will continue their place.
Taunton based business PBFS registered an interest to the site, before being selected as the succesful bidder. This acquisition boosts their estate to five petrol stations and three convenience stores across the South and South East.
William Trott of WT Estates said: “I am thrilled for our clients that we were able to meet their expectations and find a similar family run business to continue the impressive trade Tower Filling Station has been able to produce over their tenure here. We are also delighted to have assisted PBFS Ltd with their most recent acquisition. Our knowledge of the forecourt and retail market in the West Country allowed us to complete the sale without any disruption to staff or customers."
