Sanata and his elves made a flying visit to Membury on Tuesday to visit the children and give out gifts.
Santa and his elves where at the Village Hall on Tuesday afternoon. The elves had worked really hard creating a sparkly grotto ready for Santas visit.
He advertised his presence by leaving his sleigh parked on the top of the hall. As there is no chimney Santa had to climb through the hall window.
The children were so excited to see him, although a few of the younger ones found him a little bit scary. The elves checked who was on the good list, and fortunately every child’s name was there.
Present requests included construction sets (one with pneumatic parts), Lego fire engine, power ranger swords, tractors, nerf guns, dinosaurs, toy boats, scooters, rollerblades, computer accessories, remotely controlled cars, trampolines, dolls, fairies and unicorns.
A spokesman for Membury PTFA said: "Santa made sure he knew where to deliver them as not everyone was going to be at their own home on Christmas Eve, and how to get in (down the chimney or use a magic key). He also mentioned that he might be hungry and was promised all sorts of delights from milk to malt whiskey, and lots of mince pies. All the children left with a small gift. They worked very hard decorating baubles, and enjoyed the festive treats.
"Thanks to the PTFA for their hard work organising this event. The children had a wonderful time."
