Spectacular scenes at Honiton Carnival.
Crowds lined the streets to watch the grand procession at this year’s Honiton Carnival.
The Blackdown Samba Band kicked off proceedings on Saturday evening followed by the spectacular floats and walking entries.
There were plenty of colourful costumes on show. Gemini CC impressed visitors with its Transformers themed float. This year’s event saw 50 entries take part.
A spokeswoman for Honiton Carnival Committee said: “It went very well. The collection was slightly up on last year, which means we can give out quite a bit this year to local charities.”
The two main charities this year are Honiton-based Devon Freewheelers and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The committee have thanked everyone who attended and took part in the event, all the sponsors and The Beehive for hosting carnival week events.
Honiton Christmas Carnival will take place on Saturday, December 6, and will start from 5.30pm, at Ottery Moor Lane.
