Axminster Drama Club (ADC) welcomed two senior officials of the regional section of the National Operatic and Drama Association to its headquarters as they were presented with five certificates for some of its recent productions.
Graham Liverton, regional councillor for NODA South West, and regional representative Joyce Pomeroy, made the presentation, which would have been made at the annual awards ceremony in 2020, had it not been for the pandemic causing the event’s cancellation.
The group received winners’ certificates for best poster and the district achievement award in district five for its production of George’s Marvellous Medicine.
ADC also received certificates for award nominations for the Peter Wheeldon Memorial Trophy (Company Crafted Production), also for George’s Marvellous Medicine, and for the best comedy production award for its production of Blackadder and The Vicar of Dibley.
The other certificate to be awarded was for the programme produced for the club’s youth production of The Addams Family.
