BOARD Vera Ellen (née Larcombe) Passed away peacefully at Dashwood Manor Care Home, Basingstoke on the 31st of July, 2024 aged 95, with family and friends by her side. Loving wife to the late Jim Board, proud Mother to Joanne and Robert, adoring Nana to Alexander (her 'tonic') and James. Vera joined Jim on what would have been their 74th Wedding Anniversary. There will be a service at Basingstoke Crematorium on Thursday the 29th August, with ashes returning later in the year to Vera's beloved home of Colyton. The family would like to thank all at Dashwood Manor who cared so wonderfully for Vera over the last 15 months. Thanks also to Janet at Elmwood, Colyford where Vera stayed previously and special thanks to Rachel for all her trips out with Vera. Also, many thanks to those dear friends who gave Vera comfort by keeping in contact after her moves to Colyford and then Basingstoke. Vera will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
