Honiton Carers honed their artistic abilities and learned about Native American heritage, making Dream Catchers at a recent meeting on April 24.
Led by Hazel Austin, the group engaged in a craft session at the Methodist Church that left them marvelling at the creations they'd made.
Ms Austin provided an array of materials for the group to work with, guiding them through the process of covering and decorating their chosen rings.
The result was a collection of stunning Dream Catchers.
The members had a fantastic time learning about the significance of these pieces, traditionally used by the Ojibwe tribe as talismans to protect sleepers from nightmares and evil spirits.
Honiton Carers optimistically shared their hope that their personally crafted Dream Catchers would serve a similar purpose.
Post craft session, the group enjoyed light refreshments and a raffle.
For any unpaid carers interested in attending future sessions, the next meeting is at the Kitchen at Combe Garden centre on May 1 from 3-4.30pm.
